  I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful store/deli. They have the absolute best Potato salad and sauerkraut. All theire other salads are all home-made and delicious too! And such a friendly and helpful staff. A definite must-visit if you are in the PHOENIX area.

This (Deutscher Laden) German Deli can be reached at 602-482-8608 It is stocked with the Finest of German delicacies including dozens of different sausages and lunch meats.
Besides the deli meats and an array of different cheeses, the Edelweiss German Deli carries an impressive number of imported dry goods including jams, puddings, coffee, tea, cookies and candies.
More of a market than a restaurant, there are only four tables. The Max. seating Capacity is 12 to 16 hungry Guests.
You're surrounded by a massive deli, looking at sausages and cheeses, while the walls contain shelves with dry goods and fresh baked Breads.
Posters of German castles are on the walls, and streamers dangle from the ceiling.
The deli serves a menu consisting of Home Made sandwiches, salads, sausages, Black Forest Hams and even
Hackbraten, a perfectly seasoned meatloaf that is especially delicious.
The potato salad and sauerkraut are homemade with authentic recipes, and the bakery turns out tempting Apfelstrudel and Christmas Stollen for the Holidays.
The place also carries some specialty items like Herring in sour cream, smoked eel and Brat Heringe.

We have used their German potato salad for eight years for our Oktoberfest party and it is simply the best. Everyone at the party always goes for seconds.‎

 

Was on the hunt for something new to try. After watching too much travel channel I decided that I really wanted to try blood sausage and pirozhki. Gave up on finding pirozhki today because to many places were closed :
